Terms and conditions
These terms cover how Spencer's House Clearance quotes, prices and carries out house clearance work. Anything agreed with you directly for your job takes precedence where it says something more specific.
Quotes and surveys
A quote, whether given over the phone or after a visit, is provided free of charge. It is an honest estimate based on what we can see or what you describe to us, and may be adjusted if the scope of the clearance turns out to be different once we arrive.
Pricing and changes
The price we agree with you is the price for the job as described. If the scope changes once we are on site, for example significantly more items than described, we will agree any change in price with you before continuing.
Payment
Payment is due on completion of the clearance unless we have agreed otherwise with you in advance.
Access and site conditions
We need reasonable access to the property and the items to be cleared, including parking for our vehicle where possible. Where access is restricted, the time needed and the price may need to be adjusted by agreement.
Ownership and disposal
You confirm that you have the right to have the items cleared removed and disposed of. We dispose of items responsibly wherever possible, reusing, donating to charity or recycling; landfill is always a last resort, and disposal method is decided item by item.
Insurance
We hold public liability insurance for the work we carry out.
Cancellation
If you need to cancel or rearrange a booked clearance, please give us as much notice as you can so we can offer the slot to someone else.
Complaints
If something is not right, tell us using the contact details below and we will do what we reasonably can to put it right.
